Lookit, lookit, new layout! I wanted something that wasn't black and was completely white or grey, but, as usually, i start off somewhere and end up somewhere differently. So i stuck to the same colour palette. Uhm.

And i printed calenders off, marking my work days for the year to come, and i found a small portable whiteboard and i use this to write my to-do lists. I figure, better than having the place heaped up with crumbled papers, right? *taps fingers on desk* Thing is, i always start off so organized and then somewhere along the way chaos starts taking over. Heh.

Other than that, just got back from a wedding. Couldn't wear my new dress/shoes cuz it was too freaking hot, but thank god for other pretty dresses. Was nice and all that. With the exception of a bitch that burned me on my foot with her cigarette. What a lowlife bitch. (she was. A low life bitch. You'd known if you'd see her. And right now my foot is itchy so i'm entitled to swearing, okay?)

Question: What's up with the ljcut? Was trying to update my sticky post with fics and it ate up half of my links. Now i have to do it all.over.again. *kicks ljcut*

What else, lemme see... nothing i can currently think of. Oh wait. I've been meaning to get you hooked to this. It's a fun little thing, and it's not as difficult as it seems.

That's pretty much it. *stretches*

So a story had popped up in my flist, but when I went to post a comment it was suddenly protected. If I wasn't meant to read it... I'm sorry! If you're fighting with LJ coding and locking it to keep from interfering with flists... That is horrifically unlucky and I hope there's someone from the LJ staff whipping their ass to help you. Because that? Is just not good.

If you were interested in feedback:
This is beautiful. Your voicing is brilliant, really feels like Missouri saying her piece. I love the way you put it together. Such minimalistic action and heightened commentary doesn't always work, you know? I especially like how you tie in the old rules and the importance of names, how it bookends the story and holds it together.

My only complaint is that So this story's called Cadaver feels a little repetitive so close to the paragraph where she's decided if it were a story, it'd be called Cadaver. As a monologue being spoken it could totally work, because she'd pause where you've got the divider. But in terms of being prose the divider isn't enough to pull that off. Which is no big deal, because it feels so much like her talking. :)

Kudos!

You're more than welcome :) Feedback is love, after all.

The lj-cut problems are kind of crazy. I haven't had the sort of problems that this post seems to be giving you - as bizarre as disappearing links and embedding are, whatever it is that's happening with that involves (at least for me) an entire sealed code disappearing. But this... It seemed like the coding was moving itself, or not closing, and that's just a whole new level of odd.

Have you tried talking to anyone at LJ yet?

Not really, but i checked the faqs and apparently lots of people complain and they have general guideliness like 'remove browser extensions' and 'empty browswer cache' to which i'm like what? what? What is this crap?

What is this crap?
Meaning you don't know how? Or don't see how it applies? (Because personally, html eating itself doesn't seem like the sort of problem that would be generated by the browser cache... Not sure about the extensions... I can't think of one that would affect text data entry. My roommate says its to return the browser to a "control" environment wherein they know it will work.)

How very vague of them...

I have no idea what exactly they mean or how exactly the browser extensions apply (because it's not the cache. I have the cc cleaner and i do the cleaning once a week), but either way, lots of my browser extensions include avg safety... thingies, so i'll be damned if i deactivate them.

i html-ed the whole piece by hand. To hell with the rich format thingy. I finally posted the damn thing.

Many apologies for cussing so much, it's just that ARGH. Frustrating, that was. Thanks for putting up with my grumpiness. In cases like that I tend to react like John Winchester when someone doesn't obey a direct order. :)

That means that i'll probably have to html my sticky post as well. Oh boy. Hm. Should be interesting. :)

I cuss like a sailor irl, so no biggie for me. I'm glad you finally got it straightened out.

Yeah, I just html everything myself usually. I learned to hate any program that could do it for you in high school. They all sucked back then, of course, but I've never gotten over it. heh.

That's a hell of a lot of code for the sticky though. Eek! Good luck!
