(I'm very happy with myself lately. Not only did I understand how ff.net works *gasp!* but the last days I read a lot of fics and did a lot of commenting and that makes me feel all fuzzy for some reason which I can't elaborate because my brain isn't a 100% functional right now.)
Other than that, I'm reading this trilogy by Trudi Canavan? Is that the name? I can't remember the name, but anyway, the books are the Magician's guild, the Novice, the High Lord. The writing is not exactly my kind, because as far as I'm concerned it can be predictable and a bit two dimensional but they are entertaining books and the way the writer presents the world, the details of it and magic are rather well-crafted. The thing about which she should get an award though, is Akkarin, the High Lord. Naturally I have a crash on him. (or is it crush? Screw that, too tired to check.)
I haven't finished the third book yet so don't give me spoilers cuz i want to see whether my ability to predict the plot will remain intact. So far it has. But back to the point. Akkarin is love. Absolute love. One should read this book only for him. *sigh* Makes me want to do bad stuff.
The last crush on written heroes I remember is on Roland of Gilead (we're talking about gah love) by St King and Sam Vimes (we're talking deeep love) by T.Pratchett.
So, ok, now that I'm writing this I feel all sorts of stupid that I have a crash on written characters for heaven's sake, but hey, I'm the kid that had a crash on handsome cartoon heroes among others, till I hit my 13th year or so, so I'm not even getting there. You'd have guessed that at my 26 I'd be over that, but nope. Nuh-uh. No.
(On the other hand, I did have my first sort of mental fanfiction when I was in Elementary school over Star Wars. Immense crash on Luke Skywalker. And Han solo. I wanted to marry Luke and live with the Ewokes. i made pirate stories or star wars stories and acted them out with my barbies. God, i was SO not a normal kid.)
Also saw the Return of the Sith (or was that Revenge? God my brain is SO not cooperating) and I have to say one thing: Anakin is LOVE. The scene with him teetering over the abyss, the hood on. Oh god, why do cloaks and hoods awaken all my kinks at once? Why? Why?
I just had this visual of Dean and Sam in Jedi outfist. I'll think I'll OD on gahness if I let my mind drift any more freer.
I want a Jedi outfit. Next halloween/carnival/whatever I want to be a Jedi. *bangs head on keyboard*
I'll shut up now. *facepalm* I should probably not even post this. But I wrote this and I'm too fuzzy and whee and not 100% here to not post.
May the Force be with you. (I just had to say that.)
btw it is 'crush' *g*.

Yeah Roland was/is doable in a literary sense. He kind of sort of reminds me of another gunslinger, if you will, by the name of John Winchester.
I loved the DT series. But I have to admit I hated the end. I still want to slap SK for that, the bastard.
Sorry have no imput for Star Wars even though I was a pre/very young hormonal teenager when the originals were first released, I had aready "fallen" for one of the members of Kiss by then.
Anyhow if you think you ever out grow fantasy crushes & infatuations, nope, think again. I'm 37, happily married & still have got it bad for Steve Perry after 26 years. That man's voice & eyes turns me into putty too easily. Can you tell I've got a thing for muscians & singers?

Don't know why. Maybe cuz he lacks the bombardier's eyes.) The difference is that I loved the end. Worshipped it. I was like WHOAAAAA! love love love(that's just a difference of taste though).
Anyhow if you think you ever out grow fantasy crushes & infatuations, nope, think again. Ah. That's good to know. Comforting actually.
Can you tell I've got a thing for musicians & singers? Yep. It's fairly obvious. *g* I, on the other hand, have always been an actor girl. Sure, singers are hot (Whenever I see Robert Plant working that voice and body I'm like gaaah) but not the gaaaah that I had when I was watching, say, Michael from La Femme Nikita. :)
