Oh, I liked Maggie, too, and I'm so glad that you gave us this coda. Totally believable, very nicely detailed, very in-character (what little we see of her character, that is), and very tautly told. Your prose is tight and concise, great images, nice use of repetition to drive home the loss and longing. Bravo!
