I don't often enjoy reading fic (fan or pro) set in supernatural realms, because it usually fails to describe the otherness of Heaven/Hell, the rules and words and bodies that we have not applying in those places. Your story succeeds, and does so magnificently, with amazing imagery (especially with the flowers and water), and terrifying consequences.
